Terms and Conditions
The rules for using Y2Mate.
Last updated: October 26, 2026
1. Accepting these terms
Using Y2Mate means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the service. Here, "we" refers to Y2Mate and "you" to the person using it.
These terms apply each time you use the service, on any device.
2. The service
Y2Mate is a free web converter. It turns a YouTube link into an MP4 or MP3 file: you paste the link, pick a format and quality, and tap Download to save the file.
We do not host or store videos. The service only prepares a copy of a public video at your request, and you decide what to do with it.
Y2Mate is free to use and you do not need an account.
3. Personal use only
The service is for personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell it, offer it as part of another product or use it to run a business without our written permission.
Within these terms, you may use the service as often as you need for your own purposes.
4. Your responsibility
What you download is your responsibility. Save only videos you are entitled to keep, for example your own uploads, videos under a free license or videos whose creator permits downloads. Copyright and YouTube's terms of service always apply.
Many videos on YouTube are protected by copyright. Downloading them without permission may be against the law where you live, and you alone are responsible for checking this.
5. Things you must not do
- Use the service to break the law or someone else's rights.
- Download or share illegal content.
- Send automated requests, scrape the service or try to overload it.
- Try to break, copy or get around any part of the service.
- Pretend to be someone else when you contact us.
- Use the service in a way that harms other users or our partners.
6. Limits of the service
Video is available up to 1080p and audio at 320, 256 or 128 kbps, with files up to 2 GB. Only public videos can be saved. Formats, features and limits can change, and at times the service may be slow or offline.
If a video cannot be saved, we will show you a short message explaining why, when we know the reason.
7. No connection to YouTube or Google
Y2Mate is run independently. YouTube and Google do not own, endorse or sponsor it. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC.
8. No warranty
We offer the service "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running, yet we cannot promise it will always be online, error-free or right for a specific purpose.
Files are prepared automatically, and we cannot check the content, quality or accuracy of any video.
9. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss or damage that comes from using Y2Mate or from not being able to use it, including lost data or files. You use the service at your own risk.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law that cannot be limited.
10. Copyright complaints
If you believe a file made with Y2Mate infringes your rights, email contact@y2mate.skin with the video link, the work concerned and why you hold the rights. We review every complaint and act quickly. There is no separate complaint page; email is the way to reach us.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated now and then. You can see when they last changed from the date under the page title. Continuing to use Y2Mate after an update means you accept the new version.
